Not many people pay attention to my posts, but there is still a definite few that do. I appreciate you guys. I’m just saying.
I’m calling this an announcement because it is. That being said, announcement does seem like a tad of a big word, considering how few an audience actually sees my splurges. I call my thoughts and writings and even my pictures splurges, even though splurge, being a real word, has a completely different meaning from the context I use it in. I like to call my own bloggings “djsplurges”, because splurge sounds like it’s a special kind of urge, one of my own little style, I suppose.
Anyhow, as I was saying, the “girl appreciation post”. I’m not sure what exactly it will be called, if it will retain this plain name or if I will get a more creative title for it. Basically it’s a simple concept. I was talking to a friend of mine who has very long hair, and she plans to cut is soon for charity, but she will miss it when it’s gone - obviously. And yet she mentions that it is annoying. The long hair is annoying. Yet she manages to always make it look beautiful (have I mentioned I have a crush on this girl? #irrelevant), and it makes her look beautiful.
Now, my thoughts travel, and I recall Bruno Mars and his little interview blurbs whenever people ask him about his hit single “Just The Way You Are”. He gives the same answer, usually, and it’s about us guys appreciating the girls for the way that they are, as they present themselves, and the way they are all the time. He say we should appreciate the way they look because if you think about it, the way we see these beautiful women, they take hours, more or less, just to make themselves beautiful. Whether they choose to do this for themselves, or for us guys, or for everyone else in general, that is up to them. Nonetheless, they manage themselves to be pleasing to the eyes and most appreciable to look at wherever they go.
So to myself, I thought I would make an appreciation post, for all those girls. For me, I would especially target those girls who do do it for those looking. The girls who do it for themselves, yes, it is good, and they should be appreciated, but to me I would more respect them. They have a great amount confidence, something that unfortunately not everyone has, and they most certainly have my respect. So, as I said, I want to show appreciation to all the beautiful women who look good to please their man, or hope to attract a man they can appreciate. I think they deserve a post, even though a good lot won’t read it (partly because all the beautiful idiots aren’t on tumblr, no offence). I think they deserve a post because, yes, they usually do get one, but I think I’d like to take a stab at the bugger of giving woman appreciation for the effort they put into being beautiful.
Because I like to think that not all of those girls are shallow. Perhaps a lot of them are, but a lot does not necessarily mean most. So I don’t want to be prejudice. I want to be considerate, and grateful. Because even though I’ve been getting nothing for my whole life, I still have all that eye candy to relish…
lol But seriously, I think girls who do go out of their way to look as beautiful as they do deserve something nice. And true to my style, I’m going to try to make it a poem. Anyhow, that’s that about that :)
