10 months, 38kgs / 83lbs lost!

HW: 111.5kgs / 245lbs

GW: 85kgs / 187lbs

CW: 73.5kgs / 162lbs

I have to admit, only over the last week or so have I actually began to “see” my body now, for what it really is. Up until this point I’d always accepted kind comments about my improved physique, believed I do look good and marveled over the kind words spoken by those who wish to tell me what they think of my efforts. All the while I was stuck in my “old” body, in my mind, though not in a negative way. It was neutral thinking.

I know having lost 38kgs has drastically changed my body, so much so that people I once knew who see me now almost don’t recognise me. (I haven’t decided whether that’s a good or bad thing, haha!) Over the last month my body composition has changed, having done continuous bouts of physical activity; allowing my muscle tone to shine through.

It was until the last week or so of having done so much physical activity, my body welcoming it and feeling beyond pumped with endorphins that the old lingering views of myself seem to have diminished into the past. Over the last month I’ve learned to let the past go, I’ve dealt with ancient emotional issues. In doing so, the weight feels as though it’s been lifted off of my shoulders. The past and it’s events no longer plague my present, I’m able to live in the present moment all the while being conscious about the future.

My mindset now is toughening and I’m working towards becoming unbreakable. I am much stronger, body and mind. Moreso than I have ever been in my entire life leading up to this point. I feel incredible, from the inside out.

People have been asking me, “How did you do it?!” so, so often. The truth is, I was prepared to make a change in my life. I no longer wanted to sit around wasting my potential by devouring unhealthy food that was affecting my entire well being. Initally weight loss wasn’t what got me up and going, it was knowing that if I began to eat healthier foods and cut out processed, sugar packed foods like I filled myself with more than one should, I would be feeling much better physically.

I was constantly tired. Frustrated, with myself. I had no energy to continue on the path I was, surely I would have ended up with Diabetes or something of the sort. So, with my determination I began walking every day. 30 minutes a day, for about a month. During that time I made a conscious effort to add more fruits and vegetables to my daily intake, not so much ‘cut out this’ or ‘cut out that’. In adding more nutritious foods to my intake, I found myself slowly preferring to have the healthier options.

After a few months of just walking and some other aerobic exercises, I began getting into weight training. Working all the muscles in my body, as well as walking gave me an insane amount of energy. Coupled with the healthier options I’d been choosing, I felt my body changing in such an empowering way. I COULD do all the things I always dreamed of, I had the ability. When I began to believe in myself, that’s when everything really went to new heights.

I was more confident in myself, which reflected into my every day life. My food choices were becoming healthier and healthier as the months went by, physical activity no longer made me feel as though I was going to collapse. Now, my daily intake is the healthiest it has ever been in my entire life, my energy levels are ridiculously through the roof. I can run for 30 minutes straight without tiring. I’ve yet to try any longer than that. My muscle mass is impeccable, I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but boy oh boy… I am very strong. My muscle definition is seriously beginning to come through now, and I an even more comfortable with myself.

All it takes is a positive mentality towards changing your lifestyle to a healthy, purpose filled one, consuming all of the food groups within the Food Pyramid (I mean, seriously.. that’s honestly all there is to it!), as well as regular exercise that you enjoy.

There are no secrets! Everyone can lead a healthy lifestyle, you just have to have the determination to achieve your goals, then persist no matter how tough it gets. You’ll come out on the other side being an entirely new, improved, strong, HEALTHY person!

I think my abs are getting more intense. Clearly, matching my bra and underwear is one of my many talents.

I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW SHE FOUND OUT SHE COULD EVEN DO THAT

This would fall under my definition of “illegally attractive”.
